i had seen these on other sites with good reviews about directing blast and sound forward on ARs. anyone here have any experience with these? seems like a good thing to have on a defense gun.

They do throw noise down range but also an 8" fireball, imo they do little to reduce recoil or flash.

mostly i am looking at reducing noise to me as the shooter in a SD situation if i don't have hearing protection, would it serve that purpose? is there something better for that?
