.260 remington build
After a good amount of reading and looking at ballistics, I have decided that I would like to get a .260 remington. Now I want my base model to come out of a Remington rifle. As far as I know Remington does not make a .260 remington in their 700 line. I know they make it in the m7 line. The rifle will be used as a target gun. Now for my questions:
1) Keeping in mind I will hand load for this rifle, would a m7 be a good choice? 2) If not, what would it take to get one out of a 700? Would it be a simble barrel change out of a .308? 3) What would the down side be to shooting a factory remington 20 in. barrel vs. an aftermarket 24 or 26 barrel. Thanks in Advance |
The Model 7 is typically a lightweight rifle with a very light barrel . It is not a good choice for a target rifle. Barrel change on a 700.
