Zimmerman: What is "intermediate range"?
 

Today, the ever-reliable NBC reports that the autopsy asserts Martin was shot from "intermediate range" without an explanation from the coroner as to what this range is.

I don't know if this is true or not, but does anyone KNOW what is typically considered "intermediate range"?

Are we talking a few inches or a few feet? Thanks.

Not up and close and not far away??? Sounds fishy if that is in the official report. What doesn't anymore though.

The officer that arrested Zimmerman said he cleared the gun and there was a spent case in the chamber. The claim is that there was a struggle and Martin grabbed the gun.

So intermediate range is an arms length at most. (I guess)

1" to 18" is what the media is calling "intermediate range".


Supposedly, "coroner speak"...
Less than 1" = contact
1" to 18" = intermediate
greater than 18" = distant
