What happens to Religious Issues Forum when Christians no longer post...

But you guys won't stop. You said you weren't coming back until I was gone and here you are. Notice in that thread the non-believers getting along. Look up Vic's "saved by grace" thread... The believers can't help but fight with each other about who is more saved. Conflict is in the nature of the religious.

When the Christians no longer post, the Muslims win!

muscogee 10-10-2012 08:03

When I joined this forum there weren't many people challenging religion. It has been good to watch the change. Religion can't stand up to an open honest debate. It requires censorship to thrive. Notice that religious debates are never on prime time. Networks are still intimidated so they continue to censor. Hitchens could debate politics on TV, but not religion. As the debate comes more into the open, religion will continue to lose more ground.

I believe atheists have the right to voice their opinion, however. I honestly believe there should be sub forums to the Religion section. Example. A Christianity, Muslim, Wiccan, Atheist, and a general Religion section.

This would make the experience here a lot more enjoyable. I honestly feel this forum will soon die out and only atheists and agnostics will primarily post.

And this is what happens when Atheists no longer post.

The Day of Atonement

Arguments over who is and is not a true christian based on dogmatic stances of various biblical interpretations.

It won't be a death... it will be a rebirth. As will happen to the world when religion is gone.

No one said that atheist should not post, what was presented was that there should be sub forums to support different religious views. I do understand if that would happen mot of he atheist would leave since they love to debate too much, and he Christian section would thrive.. I truly believe a lot of Christian have left because of all the atheist activity. It doesn't mean either side won, it just means most Christians have had enough of the silly post here.

When atheists no longer post in a section they don't believe in, little kittens will no longer go to a non existent place of fire and never ending torment.

And has anyone ever seen the Pope debate an atheist? He has too much to lose.

And then Atheism will be the dominant religion. Oops I forgot Atheism is NOT a religion.

Our view is linked with religion like it or not. We have religious issues. This is the place for that. You want us segregated and pushed aside. You want the non-believers censored and placed in another area. That's not how it works. This is the beginning of a new age where we aren't going to go away. Every time one of you starts evangelizing one of us is going to show up to counter you. And we all know ultimately religion can't withstand such constant questioning. Did you read the stats that Gen Xers (My generation) were about 21% Atheist or Agnostic? That the current generation of 18 to 22 year olds are like 34% Atheist or Agnostic. Not to mention the huge number of just unaffiliated non-religious? That protestant and other faiths are in decline and the only reason the catholic faith is holding it's small share is due to the flood of illegal latin immigrants? It's over. Christians aren't leaving. Religion is dying. You want to blame it on something else... that we're taking the fun out of it or that you're being oppressed. But that's not it. Religion had its time. Now we're moving on. Thank God.

Are you saying that anyone who doesn't agree with you is silly? :moonie:

It isn't. That's what I mean by religion being gone. There just won't be any belief in any God. And finally mankind can start making some real progress. We'll be able to research without some ignorant zealot popping up claiming science is the Devil!

JBnTX 10-10-2012 10:00

THIS is NOT a religious forum, by any means.

It's an atheist vs believers battle forum.
Literally a free for all where those who present the strongest argument win.

If it were a religious forum the atheists would have been given the boot long ago.

..

You are correct. It's not a Religious Forum. It was never meant to be. It's a Religious Issues Forum. It most certainly isn't a Christians Only Forum.

Yes, that's you guys want isn't it? To silence anyone who disagrees with you. Well get over yourself. This is a new era where religion is going to be questioned by thoughtful people at every single turn.

I would say that when the atheist quit asking questions, and posting about, religious beliefs will be the point they have become true atheists.

I don't think a true atheist would be so bothered about religion as the ones who profess atheism and post here. :)

Why is it, you guys always want to censor or silence us. Can your story book not withstand a little questioning?
