New 2013 GSSF Outdoor Match Schedule
|
I like the fact that the matches I usually attend are spread out a little more and not back to back weekends. Makes it a little easier to get the kitchen passes.

Is Indianapolis off the schedule or are they still negotiating for a slot and will be added later? Would hate to see that one go away.

Bittersweet news for me, unless I am overlooking something.
Bitter: It looks like both Knoxville, TN and Columbia, SC are gone - I was under the impression both of those were pretty stable matches. Sweet: An additional match in Prospect Hill, NC - about 2.5 hours away (nearly the same as Columbia, SC and Knoxville, TN). |
Don,
Thanks for posting the notice. I just returned from Masaad's school in SC.:wavey: |

Indy gone?!?! Going to miss that one. Just a 2 hr drive. Was my first outdoor and one of my favorite events. Always good people and RO's there.

Well, based on last years schedule I had hoped to shoot 6 matches in 2013. Two were dropped and one was added so now I have to decide how far I want to travel to shoot 6 and which one.

I have to aim high to clear the hill on the other side of the lake. May have to add more power to my loads.

I've been bitten by the pistol competition bug about 7 months ago. Love uspsa , etc.
But I have to be honest and not bashing here but I did not really enjoy my first GSSF match I did few weeks back. Maybe it was an off day, idk. Ill give it another shot and I will do another in April hopefully. |

Plus not shooting from holstered position seemed to lack that adrenaline rush. Wish there were more than 3 stages. I'll definitely do it again. Maybe i had an off day and I'll enjoy the next one more. |

Well, I hope it wasn't anything I said or did! :whistling:  I was RO'ing 5toG on Sat and M on Sunday. I know 5 was slow and the long days always tend to suck the life out of me. I tried to make some suggestions on the 5 stage but wound up just doing the job. I think once we got M sorted out Sunday morning it ran a bit smoother. May I ask who you are? Did it take you 5 hours to shoot on Sunday? Feel free to PM me if you like. I think you will find Norco to be a little smoother and I hope to RO there as well. You know, bring some of my Kitty training there as well! :faint::rofl: I do I understand what you are saying compared to IDPA or USPSA but I just look at it as a different kind of challenge. Pretty much any time the buzzer goes off my adrenaline gets going! LOL!! And the prize pool is much deeper in GSSF and I get to shoot a bit more too. Right now I shoot 5 divisions and will probably add unlimited next year with this G34 I just bought. Scott |
