In a friend-of-the-court brief, these fourteen states that say you do not have to give a reason to get a CCW permit.: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Virginia and West Virginia
