45c vs USP 45c
If you've owned (or extensively shot) both, and have a strong preference of one over the other, I'd like to hear what tipped the scales for you.
I'm good with all the basic stats, features, etc., so I'm really looking to hear more about the mysterious "zen" quality of your preferred model. What did it for you? Did you trade away one for the other? Regrets? (No, I havn't gone to my LGS and shot both yet. It's next on my to-do list, but thought I'd get some input first.) |
I have both. I prefer the HK45C, but not by much. They're essentially the same pistol

Owned a USP 45 Compact Stainless DA/SA years ago.
My current EDC is a HK45C Light LEM. I much prefer the HK45C Light LEM. It's a personal preference thingy. They are both fine handguns. |

I've never cared for USP's ergonomics, they just don't fit my hand quite right. My 45C fits like a glove.

The 45c didn't shoot well in my hands. It felt great but it didn't work for me. The USP 45 Compact fits me much better and I can shoot it well.
The full size USP45 is too fat for me. I personally don't like the LEM as much as I do DA/SA. However, I feel the LEM is the best DAO trigger in a polymer gun. |

I ended up dumping the 45c for the USPc. I really liked the abrasive grip of the USPc and the thickness vs 45c. Don't get me wrong I liked the 45c...a lot, but the USPc fit the purpose that I needed it for. If the 45c had the P30 grip it would of been a done deal... Also did anyone else feel the USP was lighter?

I've had both. For carry, I think the HK45C wins out slightly due to the geometry of the slide. Aside from that, there isn't much difference. I still have the HK45C, I no longer have the USP45C.

I prefer the HK45C to my P30. As for weight? HK45 Compact = 1.78 lbs USP Compact 45 = 1.76 lbs |
I prefer the ergos of the HK45.
