anyways, I'm thinking ( pa lang ) of building an mtb
26inch wheels
preferably w/ 4-5 inch travel front and rear suspension, coil rear shock
Slack frame geometry
diore drivetrain
ok lang kahit generic parts yung hindi importante
Kasi I'm hoping it would not cost more than 60k
any suggestions?

Medyo out of circulation na rin ako sa cycling but how about built bike either Merida or Giant?

Go for 2nd hand. Madami yata nag-upgrade to 29" so baka marami nagbebenta.

yup - promise ko sa sarili ko. I shall ride after the holidays :)
pero meron akong konting takbo para hindi tumaba masyado :)

I know of a guy who brings a folding bike to trails - kung medyo hardcore na - he folds it and walks it :supergrin:

Naisip ko nga din mag 29 pero I decided on the traditional 26 kasi I'm planning to use it mag ikot probinsya ( hopefully marinduque/mindoro/romblon )

...ala eh Fafa, kaya pala di kaya ng P60T-full sus na Niner ang tinatarget mo. Frame alone may cost you 80-135T.

Should you decide on Niner, try their stores at Molito or at Westgate. Hihingi kita ng additional discount. Major owner is like a son to me.

At my weight and the terrain sa backyard volcano namin , di ako pwede sa lightweight bike
Parati bali sakin ang rayos, and tires have to be more than 40psi or nafafflat

actually pinararampa ko eto but im only about 160+ pounds. custom build yeti full sus with x0 and xtr parts kaya napakagaan :)

I asked a couple of weeks ago sir Allegra. Giant Trance X 2 29er i think. 80k was the price. built bike. of course not XTR compo and other high end. was planning to get Giant Trance X 1 29er para gunban pa sexy, price was 115k if i remember correctly:) hahahah.

But right now, i have my eyes on the Specialized Stumpy or Epic :)
