Picked up a 19 Gen 4 today
My LGS called me to pick up my 19. I didn't notice in the store, but when I got home, I noticed it was missing the brush. Do I call the LGS back, or do I call Glock?
On another note...I'm not sure of the prices else where, but my 27(bought from same LGS) was $559 and the 19 was $579; both Gen 4. Any thoughts on the pricing difference? Lee |
Id say call the LGS first, it is something simple. As to the price, the 19 is higher demand id say.

That's what I paid for my G19 Gen 4 last week at my LGS. I did see Gander mountain marked up their Gen 4 G26 to 699. Guns that are just showing up might be marked up over older guns?

the prices you paid are probably considered really good given the current situation. In early december my LGS was selling most gen4 glocks for 529 (had them listed for 539, but for some reason he gives everyone 10 bucks off...as if to make them feel like they are getting a deal or something)

A new G19...
To steal from South Park a little bit, if my envy were made of strawberries, we'd all be drinkin' a lot of smoothies right now. |
Jobbed. A brand new 23 Gen4 cost me $499.99 two weeks ago. Although I do live in Georgia, home of the Glock (in America at least).
|
Yeah Gander had the Gen 4 19 for 650, it was not the best price. But the way things are today, I didn't blink. Also they were really good to deal with.

You are one lucky duck. Gen4 19's are as scarce as hens' teeth lately.

Congrats. I bought my g3 G17 from Gander for $539 back in early January. They also had a g4 19 but had upped the price to $629. 2 weeks earlier it was $569. I passed on the g4 19 and bought the g3 17 instead. The g4 sold while I was doing paperwork to the guy right after me. I got lucky they got 4 glocks in that day. I was a little bummed the next week when I saw one(g4 19) at Mills Fleetfarm across the interstate for $539. Oh well I love my g3 17.

I spoke with the LGS that I purchased the G19 from, and he said he didn't find the brush, said I should call Glock. I call Glock and the customer representative said that the dealer who sold the gun needs to get with the distributor on getting another brush. She mentioned that they are $4, and I said I wasn't going to pay for something that should be included, she agreed. I ask to speak with her supervisor, who coincidentally was on lunch, I left a voicemail and am awaiting a call.

$539 then hands back $10.00, to make you feel like your getting a deal? Sounds like you are! Mine was $549.00, no money handed back....
|
Congrats on the G19.

Relax,
Go to walmart and pick up a brush. Not worth the aggravation and indignation, on a nylon bore brush. Feel lucky you have a hi cap weapon. Shoot and enjoy. |

A guy I work with purchased a brand new Gen 4 22 without the Glock ammo loader. I told him no big deal because he can have mine but makes you wonder how something like this can leave Glock and not be included with it. Of course the online place he got it from is likely the cause.

I understand I can "buy a brush" at Walmart, this is about getting what you paid for. I genuinely don't think the LGS took it because I bought a 27 Gen 4 earlier this month and had all parts.
I called Glock back and they are sending a new brush. LL |
I agree, its not about a $4 brush but getting what you paid for.
|
Congrats!
|
You did alright on price. Congratulations on the new gun!

I tryin to find a blue label G19 right now, if i run across one i'm gonna snatch it up & add it to the collection
