It just shows how out of touch with reality these idiots are that they can't make ends meet on $174,000 per year.

Personally, I think they should be paid no more than the average income of an average individual in the US, adjusted quarterly. That way, there is actually some sort of an incentive to work for the people and not the other way around.

RussP 02-16-2013 06:58

As one commenter said, "Dignity and Nancy Pelosi is an Oxymoron."

That $174,000, for how many Senators is that their sole income?

Yup -- this hilarious topic was also discussed yesterday:

Trust a Democrat statist to equate their "dignity" to how much money they "earn"...

.

JBnTX 02-16-2013 07:03

She's just another leech sucking at the hind tit of the government sow.
If she doesn't like the pay, then she can find another job.

Exactly.

I am starting to believe that the sequester is not a looming problem, but the only hope left.

G17Jake 02-16-2013 07:52

Nancy should just leave congress to teach us all a lesson...

akroguy 02-16-2013 09:45

Most enter Congress making average salary for their career field from whence they came, and leave multi-millionaires.

How dat happen? /sarcasm

rj1939 02-16-2013 10:11

The French had a marvelous method of dealing with her sort in the late 1700's...............time for it to be revived.

Guess I don't have as much dignity as pelosi because I don't make as much money as she does. And she doesn't have as much dignity as obama because he makes more money.

OK, now I get it. :steamed:

Just wondering...is dignity adjusted for inflation? Does congress get a "cost of dignity" adjustment every year?
:dunno:

Ringo S. 02-16-2013 11:15

According to Pelosi's logic "evil rich men" are most dignified men, cos' they are rich... Hmmm...

But... I bet you have a whole hell of a lot more dignity than most of her and Barry's voters, by both her definition of dignity and the dictionary's.

rj1939 02-16-2013 11:49

Nobody in Congress has any dignity (aside from in their own minds) they have all done things a crack whore needing a fix wouldn't do.

nursetim 02-16-2013 11:50

How about paying them minimum wage and if they can prove sole income, housing in a dormitory. It seems fair to me.

EOS 02-16-2013 13:10

Why is she worried about the "on the record" pay?

I'm sure she has plenty of lobbyists and corrupt dealings to keep her financially sound.

wolf19r 02-16-2013 13:24

Yea only 174, 000 a year what a crock.

The crap never ceases to flow from her mouth. She has already ruined her dignity without having her pay cut.

railfancwb 02-16-2013 14:42

They will have to pass the bill so she can see what's in it.

Strange how the top wealthiest in D.C. are Dems, this is before being elected. Then they froth at the mouth, hollering about how evil wealthy folks are. Gotta love them democrats.

TJ Superfly 02-16-2013 15:02

Her net worth is something like 58 million dollars.

TJ Superfly 02-16-2013 15:04

The Bay area must be really proud of her. They keep re-electing her.
