G.A.P. Ammo

Well, another year has gone by and they're still making GAP's, and even in this ammo crunch I still found it without even looking. Went with a buddy to a little gun store off the beaten path here in Tn. so he could pick up some .40 bullets he ordered to reload. I asked the guy behind the counter if he happened to have any GAP, said yea I got 5 boxes of Speer .200gr, same price as the PMC .45ACP (Korea) that just came in..how many you want. This is the 4th gun store I've been in for the first time that had GAP ammo on the shelf.

Advantage of having a gun in a caliber that few own. There is lots of ammo because few are buying it. Good spin though.

Went to a large LGS, and they keep ammo on home depot type racks. All empty except for 25acp, 32S&W and Speer 45GAP. GAP looks pretty good now!

No spin, just fact, can't help you can't handle it, serfbored.

And lucky gunner.com shows in stock gap for less than ACP on a cost per round.

Sort of like HP's in NJ.

I see a G38 in my holster.

SCmasterblaster 03-16-2013 13:25

That's correct. There aren't that many .45 GAP owners yet.

TheGrimReaper 03-17-2013 12:55

I LOVE 45 GAP, sold my ACP's in favor of GAP!

G38 is on my list after a G32.

In this way you won't have a brass mix-up problem!

Deye76 03-21-2013 13:19

I also sold my ACP's. They required a lot of money and work to get them to shoot as well as my GAP does.....out of the box.

I pick up free 45 auto brass at the range, along with 9mm, 38 Special, 40 S&W, and even some 45 Colt.

Then I sit down in the garage, load my ammo with powder, primers and bullets (some that I cast myself) from the 1990's and laugh at all the people who still buy ammo from a store for .40 - $1.00 a round (more for rifle ammo).

Keep your GAP. I've got ammo to last the rest of my life in several calibers.

Good for you, sir.

I went in one of the local gun shop yesterday and saw about fifteen boxes of ammo and I go great - I have finally found some 9mm or 45 ACP - it was all 45GAP.

Why? The .45 GAP can't be loaded with 255gr bullets.

Ak.Hiker 03-22-2013 23:29

45 GAP 230gr. Bonded Defense JHP 50rds. But these look pretty good to me.
