"The Home Team" (SEAL's, PJ's, Sigs, Glocks...got it all)

I just finished a novel titled "The Home Team", authored by Dennis Chalker, a retired Navy Command Master Chief and SEAL. I have read a couple of his non-ficton books and this (I believe) is his first foray into fiction. I'm not going to lie...it is no great literary work. However, it is a very enjoyable light reading action novel with LOTS of guns and gear, all of which he writes about with great accuracy. It involves a group of retired Spec Ops operators (from every branch, no less) who end up taking care of business with a terrorist cell operating here in the good ol' U S of A. You will get everything from Sigs, Glocks, 1911's and Taurus .44 Special revolvers to evil assault rifles and sniper rifles. If you are looking for some good action and some great gun writing (but not the secret to life or any great literary awakening), you might want to give it a look.

Have you had a chance to read any of Dick Couch's books. He is a retired Navy Captain and seal commander. His are in the light reading venue also. He also did a book that followed a BUDS class from start to finish that was really good reading. The title is
"The Warrior Elite: The Forging of SEAL Class 228."

I just read this book. It is refreshing not to read about porcelain bullets, cordite, etc. I have not read any of his other books.
