Electronics tecnicians (GS-0856, WG-26XX) - Please help!

I served 22 years on active duty in the Air Force. I'm now retired and have been seeking federal employment as an electronics technician for almost 3 years now with no luck. If there are any ET's in this forum, maybe you could offer some good advice. Any and all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
