Starting a Career

So Iím thinking about joining ROTC here at ASU. I would really like to get into intelligence. No I donít think itís like Jason Bourne and I know analyzing isnít the most fun thing to do in the world. I know there are several positions within intel but I donít want to end up doing logistics or something along those lines if I don't get my 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd choice. I see the AF as an opportunity to jump start a career with the fed; or, if I really like the service, staying in and making a career out of it. Iím not joining ROTC for the money, although the scholarship will be nice. I know Iím going to end up overseas at some point and that doesn't bother me. What does make me nervous would be getting stuck in a position that I hate for four years and then when my time is up being bitter towards the Air Force. That being said, how often do you actually get the job you want? That and what were your general experiences with the Air Force?
