This mainly applies to the trigger pin. It has 2 grooves cut into it and the slide stop lever rides on/in the left groove. If you remove the pin L-R the slide stop release (which the trigger pin goes through) only has to ride out of the one groove, if you remove it R-L it must push through both grooves. The same logic applies in reassembly, you insert R-L so it does not have to be forced over that extra groove.
