I've had an 88, a 535 and a parkerized 835 w/ an 18" barrel (poor man's 590a1). I'd get the 835/590 every time. They are really better. I had some experiences with the first two where I would pull the forearm tight when firing slugs and the bolt would come back just enough to ding the primer and get a light strike. The 835 is solid. I'd go to war with that gun! The 500 series is also drilled and tapped for a factory picatinny rail on top.
