If you want 1200 fps I would go AA #9. That is the only 10mm powder I have used for the past 10 years. I buy it in the 8 lb container.
AA #9 and a six inch barrel will get you 1200 fps plus without excesive pressure. One of these days a long slide will show up at my house.
