The P226 SCT doesn't have an extended magwell. The magazine difference is merely the addition of a +2 baseplate (which you can add to any normal Sig mag). Standard 18 round mags will work just fine. I have a P229 SCT, and I notice that the slide will not lock back after the last shot with the extended 14 round mags, but it does with factory 12 round mags. There may be some truth to the Checkmate vs. MecGar quality.
