You want the "hunting bullet" that is (1) most accurate in your rifle and (2) has the highest bc. This is found by experimentation since every rifle is different. For a .308, your range will be typically 150-175gr.
Using "match" bullets for hunting is controversial. I know many people who have had success using their regular match loads on game, but they are excellent marksmen as well.
