I recently picked up my first 17 gen 3, used at Cabela's this past year after carrying a 22 for many years. I cleaned it up a bit and it works like a charm. I am guessing that the previous owner may have been having malfunctions with it because the extractor depressor plunger assembly was pretty much "glued" in place with a combination of residue, oil and gunk. Simple fix and it works fine now.
I have been told that Glock makes limited runs of 17L's and 24's from time to time. Anyone know the secret to getting one, other than extreme luck?
