I have already installed a LWD 19L barrel and dustcover on a G17 slide, but am uncertain what recoil spring assembly to use. The dustcover seems set up to take a standard G19 spring assembly, but will not cycle properly. I tried a G17 spring assembly and it seems to work. My concern is that the G17 recoil spring assembly requires a lot of compression to fit into place.

Which of those two should I be using, or should I go to an aftermarket replacement rod and uncaptured spring?
