I agree with all of the previous posters who say that you should keep the .308 and save for a 5.56. They're are so many great choices out there that I'll let someone with more knowledge address which brand you should get. But definitely keep the .308. You have it just the way that you want it and that can be a rare thing in such an adaptable platform.
