All my early years growing up we had a fellow with touretts. He was very athletic and quite a good ice skater.

We had a small lake located in the center of the city, maintained by the city, for ice skating. He was always there. At first new kids were scared of his outbursts, then when they found out it wasn't under his control, he was a good member of the teen group.

I still think of how he must have had a difficult time with a problem that was not under his control. At least the kids I knew believed him to be a really good person and welcome in our community.

Some ar not as lucky as the rest.
