The material is non-soluble. It will not penetrate or enter food.
Here is the problem: the law says that if it is for human consumption it must be removed.
The same material (sulfuryl fluoride) has food tolerances, but it is a different label from the product used in your home (among other regulatory issues.)
Bottom line your water will be fine... But the licensee on the job may or may not allow it in the home and state and local regulators would deem that your water needs to be removed.
