It was in Laingsburg, specifically east of the city of Laingsburg and closer to the unincorporated area of Pittsburg.
On a related note, the Laingsburg area has not been hit hard with "blue tongue" disease this year. But I dropped the deer at the processor (one county over, in northern Clinton County) and they said virtually everybody there had reported finding dead deer.
