I prefer a bead sight for a HD shotgun. Remington's "rifle sights" they put on their shotguns are notoriously awful. They have a short sight radius and are difficult to pick up against certain backgrounds and lighting.
"Ghost ring" or aperture sights are much better for a defensive shotgun that might be used outdoors like a patrol shotgun with slugs carried to extend your range.
I would stick with the good old bead. I can put rounds on a B27 at 100yds with my bead sight 870. I also find a bead sight to be quick at close ranges with buckshot.
