Once or twice a day, a car would come by and the driver would grin and throw up their hand as they went past.

The only difference from how it used to be around here was that when it was time to go it was "See you's guys the next time you come up he-yah! lol

You know things have changed in Florida when you have to go to New York to feel like a Southerner.
Tell me about it, I grew up in those mountains 60 years ago; things are pretty much the same now as then.
