Riedenschild

Ok, here's a net photo of my recent order.

Its a Riendenschild Dark Sea Diver Pro / Hand assembled German Automatic.

There was a Black IP case/band that I drooled over about a day longer than I should have apparently as it was sold and I could not find a comparable replacement at the price I was willing to pay.

The Limited Edition has stainless everything which alleviates the wear I was willing to accept on the black version.

Anyone have any practical experience with this particular company or product?<table *********="" #ffffff="" width="100%" border="3" cellspacing="1" height="229"><tbody><tr><td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="20"> Model:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="20"> Riedenschild Watch - Riedenschild Limited Edition DarkSeaDiver Pro Automatic Diver 1112/03-01</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Case material:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Solid stainless steel case with screw down case back</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Case dimensions:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> 45mm (1 3/4") in diameter not including the crown; 14.5mm (9/16") in thickness</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Weight:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> 8.5 oz with metal bracelet, 4.23 oz with rubber band</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Movement:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> 21 jewel Miyota automatic movement; 32 hour power reserve</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Crystal type:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Highly scratch resistant sapphire crystal</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="19"> Crown: </td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="19"> Push and pull crown with screw in crown protector</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Water resistant:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> 200 meters</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Face color:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Black and red dial</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="22"> Band type:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="22"> Two watch bands: stainless steel band with fold over safety clasp with push button and black rubber strap; band changing tool included</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="24"> Lug size:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="24"> 22mm</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Band length:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Will fit 5 3/4 - 8 1/2" wrist</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Additional features:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Internal rotating bezel; Date display; Luminous hands and markers</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Warranty:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> 2 year warranty on all Riedenschild watches</td> </tr> <tr> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="23%" height="21"> Items included:</td> <td *********="" #ffffff="" width="77%" height="21"> Original Riedenschild packaging with owner's manual warranty material</td> </tr> </tbody></table><!-- store_display/smarty/templates/promotions_horizontal.tpl --> Free Bonus With Your Purchase!

And the one that hooked me.

I'm on the hunt for a black metal band but for the time being I'm going with a Zulu strap aiming for this look..

Any thoughts?

I'm looking at the Marathon line and searching for suggestions in regards to multiple complications that won't break the bank.

Invicta has quite a few dive watches I'm interested in as well.

Marathons are awesome tool watches. If you can find one, the CSAR seems to be a favorite of many, but they are over 2 grand.

For the GT of watches, take a look at Watchuseek.com, and be prepared to be amazed.

Watchuseek was one of the first forums I signed into.

I'm not big on flash as far as the watches go but I really like the mechanisms and movements of mechanical watches so tool grade is right where I want to be for now.

I have the same user name over there, but don't post much. I can't afford to.

I like the utilitarian look of the Marathon's, but think I'd rather have the TSAR or JSAR. I love auto's, but for some reason prefer to have the quartz Marathon. No idea why, though.
