I got one a few years ago when the 91/30's first hit shore.I got it from AIM or Classic Arms when ordering a Hex 91/30 for $79.00(est)It's by far the nicest 91/30 I have.
Well after reading it looks like I made out well Dragoon 1926 Tula.Classic has them posted alittle lower then half way down the page.

They are saying only 1% of all 91/30's are Dragoons
So I have to ask does anyone else have one.And how is the overall quality of yours.

i have a couple of ex-dragoons, and one in original configuration.

the ex-dragoons were updated to 91/30 specs with the flat rear site, globe front site, and spring barrel bands. pretty much any 91/30 made before 1930 is an ex dragoon. they are slightly longer than a regular 91/30. a lot of the dragoons that have popped up lately have been finn captured, but mine is still all russian. they are usually in rough shape since they havent been through rebuild. here are some pics. note the rear site and barrel bands. the dragoons had milled solid bands

note that they are very careful on their wording that those are not truly dragoon mosins. they are dragoon era mosins. during the war, or just after, these "older" guns were updated to the more modern 91/30 sights (front and rear) and sling swivels.

These are what are referred to as ex-dragoons, or updated dragoons. these are much easier to find than a real dragoon. It took me over 3 years of looking before i found the dragoon i have. the ex's are cool too, but nowhere near as rare, they usually bring a 10-20% premium. If you put one next to a 91/30 you will see that the ex-dragoon is slightly longer as shown in my pics above.
