Scope on a Marlin 60?

Which scope do you guys have and which mount/rings? Do you really favor one brand over another? Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks.

Mine has a bushnell banner 3-9x

Its a great scope and it has some kind of low mount rings, i had to take the rear sight off of mine to get it to fit but it fits nice and close to the barrel. shots great groups even at 100 yards

I have the same as ramfan5.9 but I did not have to take the rear sight off. That scope works just fine and is not expensive.

BadMaxx, did you get your 60 like that (stock and barrel)? Or did you build it up like that?

A really great rifle...

Beats the ruger out of the box.

Can replace all the ruger parts and barrel then you got a better gun.

But look at the dollars you will waste!

A true bargain of a rifle.

I miss mine! It was stolen.

I put the Walmart $99 Nikon 4 power scope on mine, with the Weaver peek under rings. The gun is so accurate at 60 yards now, it's almost boring...
The thing I like most about the Model 60 over the 10/22, is that it likes to shoot any brand of ammo. The Model 60 is a really good gun, we have 2 of them, one made with blued steel and one in stainless.

I've got a cheapo BSA that matches the cheapo BSA on my .30-06, and the cheapo BSA I've got stashed for a spare.

But if I was spending your money, it'd be the Mueller. American made, good reputation, won't break the bank. There's worse answers.

I've got the Simmons 22 Mag on my 10/22. Great scope for what it is.

Mine does not have the AO.

I put a Centerpoint 3-9x on my son's Marlin 795. Sit's a little high though.

(Same as the Marlin 60 except it takes 10 round magazines. Even has the magazine tube hole in the reciever)
