Common Px4 Storm issues

I have the opportunity to buy a NEW Px4 Storm 9mm F, for a good price.

I am a Glock guy usually.

What are common issues of the Px4 Storms? Are they reliable? What breaks?

Bruniton is a finish, not a metallic treatment like Nitron/melonite/tenifer

What's Beretta's customer service like?

Sig 2022 or Px4?

cciman I shoot the SP2022 in 9mm and it's a great gun. It came with night sights standard. The trigger is typical sig smooth. The quality of this gun is as good as any high end HK. The older SP2340s are just as good. That being said, I am looking at getting the PX4 in 45. The rotating barrel system is supposed to dampen recoil, and I can't wait to try it out.

I now own the Px4F.

Very pretty gun, from a glock owner standpoint. Slide and frame fit perfectly.

Nice weight and balance, good grip texture, natural grip pointability. Easy smooth DA and SA trigger pulls on dry fire. EZ take down, like the Glock, more complex than the Glock.

Very nice without firing it. Probably shoots as well as my other 9mm's.

Good Buy.

Sig2022 also on the way.

Congratulations cciman!

I have a PX4 .40 and like it a lot. The "Superluminova" sights suck as far as night sights go, it is basically fluorescent paint, but the mechanical design of them give a good combat sight picture.

I have heard of no major issues with the 9mm version, however the .40 version is reported to have "trigger Slap" issues on some of the pistols. I personally experienced it two times on my pistol, both occurred when shooting it outdoors in the winter. After more than 1200 flawless rounds through it, the problem seems to have stopped.

They are indeed very soft recoiling, thanks to the rotating barrel design, and very accurate.
