How much is it worth?
A friend has a 9mm he bought new in 1965. It has about 200 rounds through it and is primo mint. He even has some of the original ammo from when he bought it. Any idea what this gun is worth?
He is 80 now and needs to sell it because he can't rack the slide. He wants to buy a revolver with the money.
Thanks in advance,
Dan in ABQ

He can swap for a *very* nice revolver, but likely will do better selling it outright, and buying one. I'd recommend a 6" K frame .38, with 'FBI loads' ie +P 158gr LSWCHP, and grips he likes, very possibly pachmayer or hogue.. Likely 450$ for a good one and at least a couple hundred more for the Browning. I'd not be shocked to see it bring $800+ at auction, they ain't making very many like that these days.

Thanks for the replies folks. If I remember correctly, the gun has a blued finish and iron sights. It's just an off-the-shelf gun. It essentially just came out of the box except the box went into the trash 45 years ago.

Does he have the pouch and manual? It could go $800 easy based on the stated condition if advertised to a wide market.

He does have the original pouch. Dunno about the manual.

I agree that it's probably worth closer to $800 or a little more depending on what it comes with. Is it a C series or T series?
