Sir, I have heard how O-Rings are supposed to increase the reliability of the extractor. Is it alright to use O-Rings bought from sporting goods stores/hardware stores for this purpose, or should I get the pricier reliability upgrades which come with an O Ring/D-Ring? What is the possibility of these items melting when the gun is in use, and what can be the possible effects should they so melt. Thanks and regards.
Automotive O rings are still pretty high temp so I do not think they will melt, so as long as you find one the right size I don't see what it would hurt even if it melts.
If you can find a AR O ring I would use it but I can see how that might be a little issue over there.
