New P226 9mm.
I bought a new P226 9mm today with a UU serial number, July 2010.
Does Sig not put the target and the spent cases in the box any more?

I think they only do the target for german imported sigs. Most new sigs are made entirely in exeter. spent casing = only if your state requires one. congrats, get out and shoooot it. I got 2 9mm P226's. can't go wrong.

I bought a P226 in 1987. I carried it off-duty until 1991 when I was allowed to carry a semi-auto full-time. I then carried it until 1996 when I switched to a P220, and the P226 when back to off-duty carry.
Then, in 2003, I really screwed to pooch. I traded that "old" P226 for a brand new Glock 23. I know...bad move.
Well, I purchased another P226 and couldn't be happier.

I took her out to the range on Saturday and at 10 yards, I had one little ragged hole with the first 15 rounds I shot.
She is a keeper.

If I was back on the job, and I was allowed to carry any pistol I could, or I was an administrator that made the decision of what pistol my department would carry, it would be a P226 in .40 cal. No caliber war, just that is IMHO a good compromise between size and effectiveness.
I love the 9mm, but I love the .40 cal too.
