Full lenght guide rod and 20 pound recoil spring for commander??

Hi, I own a Series 70 Commander CLONE that has been 100% reliable since the first day, I only use ball ammo in my 1911's.
Few days ago I start thinking about a Wilson full length guide rod assembly and a 20 pound recoil spring.

My question is do you think is a good Idea, do I need the full guide rod or only the 20 pound spring?

Why change what works? FLGR's are nothing more than a PITA. Only 1911 I'll have one on is a bull barreled gun. Additionally, uness you're shooting +p ammo, I see no need to switch to a heavier recoil spring.

DITTO! A heavy spring on a Commander ?might? make it less reliable.

Sorry but what does PITA means?
The idea of changing the spring it's because I have no idea which one does it have installed at the moment.

if your gun is reliable right now, i would just replace the springs with the same weight.

i believe Commanders are 18#, though Ed Brown uses a 20# spring in the "Carry" models.
