Howdy from Auburn
Hey there fellow Alabama Glockaholics!
Thought I would say hello. I am a student at Auburn, who is from Birmingham. I shoot IDPA, and my hobbies include Glocks, Buying Glocks, and Shooting Glocks.

Welcome to GT.
I hope you get your pistol carry permit in Jefferson County, as I hear that the Sheriff down there adds additional restrictions to the permits he issues (that aren't on the ones issued in Jefferson County).

I did get my permit from Jefferson County, However, several of my friends have Lee county permits, and they are the same as Jefferson as far as I know.

Maybe so. I had heard that Lee county had restrictions as to drinking where alcohol is served. Jefferson county has no such restrictions.
I hope it has changed. Let us know if you can verify.

I am fairly certain this is no longer the case. I will look at a buddies next ime I see one with a Lee permit

Tuscaloosa tries, but the wording is vague in places. We need to go to shall issue with no restrictions in state law. Bet we can get that through now along with preventing employer car bans now that the Bham Dipocrats can't hang it in committee in the House.

I sporadically shoot at Arab and Montgomery. I shoot at Brocks Gap in Birmingham almost every month, it is my home range. East Alabama Gun Club (very close to Auburn) has matches on the same weekend as Brocks Gap, so i have not shot there yet. I only recently discovered it, but i plan to shoot there one weekend i do not feel like driving to Birmingham.
Do you shoot IDPA anywhere?

I shoot at the EAGC but I shoot IPSCA. They shoot IDPA on the second Sat. of each month and most of the time I working.
We just had the state IDPA match last week.
