EOW Va State Trooper
No link to story yet.
A Va State Trooper died in a single car accident while responding to a call. Another car apparently pulled out and the trooper swerved to avoid him and impacted a light pole. He was supposed to be getting married in a couple of weeks, so prayers to his family and fiancee.

what is up in VA? I moved here about a year ago; LOTS of LEO's have died in the last 9 months...is it always like that here?

I haven't seen anything yet, but I will post up any information I can find as soon as possible. I would assume the funeral won't be until the early to middle of next week.

Wow. And I realize it was an assistance call, but please make sure you slow down. I can't imagine the speed he must have been going to do that damage.
