Can't Get Slide Off

OK-What have I done? I took the slide off my G30 to take the barrel and recoil spring out to just put the slide on the frame and move it back and forth to see if there was a binding somewhere and now I can't get the slide off. It stops short of coming off and is held by pressure, I guess, from the trigger. Suggestions? In a standard 1911 you can do that and the slide comes forward and right off-not this one.

The trigger must be in the rearward position (fired) before the slide can be removed. So insuring there is no ammo in the firearm (I know you said slide only but...) align and hold the slide on the frame and pull the trigger then attempt to remove the slide. HTH
