Win. .38 +p PDX1 tests

Win. .38 Special 130 gr. +p PDX1 and TOTALLY different results:

And finally a test with REAL ballistic gel:

Night & day difference. It's a given that on any given day any bullet can & will sometimes fail, however I am leaning towards the fact that this SIM stuff is not totally akin to real ballistic gel.

The standardized gel/barrier tests, with the gel blocks carefully prepared and checked with a calibration BB shot, offer a way to make comparisons based upon similar circumstances.

The use of other simulant "mediums" (than 10% gel) may offer a certain ease and convenience to the lay person interested in engaging in some informal "testing", but how are the results observed in the use of such simulant mediums when it comes to having a correlation to the results observed in actual shootings?

The standardized 10% gel formula (again, properly prepared & checked for 'calibration') have been demonstrated to have a correlation with observed results obtained in real shootings.
