Does anyone own a Ruger Single Six?

I have been trying to see if there I perhaps a discontinued version of the Super Single Six with a barrel under 5 inches. Does anyone have one like this?

Dont know about less than 5"

I have a 5.5" SS I got for Christmas when I was ten.

I hope that it will see many more generations of my descendants. I love just holding that gun.

Not yet, but one is on my list. They're great rimfire revolvers.

I got 2 older 3 screw safe queens, and my 1980s super single six has the 9.5 inch barrel..... She's a heck of a shooter!

When I get one it will definitely be a 3-screw model.

Yes I do

it is a 50th anniversary edition, the barrel is 45/8", red medallions on the grips, red plastic case. Not a 3 screw version. Found it unfired other than from the factory at a LGS near me, $430+tax and fees. Built in 2003, bought in 2012. I don't care about the anniversary crap, I shoot it.

SS Single-Six Convertible w/5.5" barrel

Ruger's site show 2 BLUE Convertible models w/ 4.62" barrel -MSRP $559.

Don't recall seeing many Single-Sixes used and sure none with a <5" barrel.

Best.

I had a single six with 4 5/8" barrel.

Bought it in the early 80s

Actually had 2 of them, one in .22/.22 mag and one in .32 h&r

posted from my stupid smart phone, please excuse any spelling mistakes.

Thanks everyone. Looks like the 5.5 is a lot easier to come by. I saw a BearCat at the range but the grips felt small to me.

I was shopping for a Bearcat when I came across the Single Six "Vaquero" I posted. It just felt better in my hand than a Bearcat

Very nice, Berto

That's along the lines of what I'm looking at get. My shop has a couple 3-screw 22mags, actually.

Heres what I got. It was a gift to my father from my grandfather.
Rimfire Forum

I don't show her as much love as my others. She's pretty much a Safe Queen. Only shot it a few times when I was a teenager and plan to pass it down the family tree.

Is there something special about these other than the fact that there fun, and cheap to shoot?

What more could you ask for?

I don't have one now, but once my .22 auto sells I will be getting a SS Single Six convertible.

Ruger still lists a blues 4.6" barrel single six convertible on their web site.

They also have a distributor exclusive 4.6" stainless steel with fiber optic sights available through lipseys.

So you don't have to look for a discontinued one.

Won't lie...and please don't crucify me...but I hate those .22lr revolvers. I had my ruger .22 lr revolver that just wasn't accurate enough and the sound was terrible...it was so so so so loud! I have had 44 mags that were quieter!!! Plus all that being said...why shoot one when you can shoot a semi that will be overall way way better?

I won't crucify you, just say IMO you are nuttier than a squirrel turd and have a miniscule amount of experience.

Have a great Christmas.
