Letter from Senator Stabenow
Here is an email I received from Senator Stabenow (huge gun grabber from MI) concerning the recent gun control talks:
Dear Nathan,
Thank you for contacting me about the tragic and senseless violence in Newtown, Connecticut. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and concerns with me.
If there is anything that deeply unites Americans across the country it is our love for our children and grandchildren and our desire to keep them safe. In the wake of the heartbreaking tragedy at Sandy Hook elementary, all of us must come together to determine what steps can be taken to protect our children. That means discussing how we can strengthen our gun laws to help stop attacks like this from happening again, while protecting responsible gun ownership and preserving our hunting heritage. It also means strengthening mental health services, and focusing on the broader culture of violence in the media and our society. These solutions may not be easy, but one thing should be clear–complacency and inaction until the next attack must not be an option.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please continue to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator

The exact same word for word form letter I received from her on 12/30/12. Yep gun grabbing Stabenow needs to be sent packing.

Mine must be in the "mail" as we'll. I emailed her last week and haven't yet gotten a response. I'm military and absentee vote in MI.

My initial email was somewhere in the vicinity of December 20.

She probably did not write you back because because AR-15s are not used for hunting, and that is what the 2nd Amendment is about. Can't you read?

I've wrote nine different politicians with relevance to my area about new gun control laws. I received one form e-mail back. The rest must really be mulling over my thoughts. I'm sure all the anti-gunners are about to vote for freedom because of my well worded pleas have moved them so much.

When it comes time to vote, which side do you think they wil be tempted to take?
1. More gun laws= $O.OO
2. Fix the treatment of mentally ill=$1OO,OOO,OOO.OO
The country is broke, do you think they will take the best option, or the cheap way out?

With that name, I'm not surprised she's anti gun... Is she pro-knife?

That was ding dong Rohm emmanuel from the chicago Mafia. Never let a good tragedy go to waste. I heard he scared the $%$& out of Clinton.
That letter is B.S. I think a feasible way to deal with these people is to let them know it ain't hunting we are trying to protect! Not hunting. Not sports. We simply want an efficient means to protect our selves in our homes, out on the streets where we conduct our daily affairs, and most importantly, a means to protect ourselves from a tyrannical Government should the need ever arise.

What a joke. They say that want to have a discussion then just ram gun control down our throats.

Well, now I know what mine will say when Stab-me-now's staffers get around to pushing the send button. It'll be interesting to see how similar the Levin brothers' emails are. They're the other MI Senator and my representative, both party-line Democrats. Oh, and nice of Stabenow not to come right out and say where she stands without leaving a wide amount of wiggle room.
