If a new AWB passes....

...and assuming that it is similiar to the 94 AWB. What are the legalities of carrying hi cap mags? Specifically could there be legal consequences if one was involved in a self defense shooting that involved hi cap mags? Could a prosecutor constrew the use of a hi cap in a self defense situation as a use of undue force? Any cases of this during the 94 AWB years?

Thanks alot

- Brett

It came up occasionally 1994-2004, during the Clinton AWB, when good guys shot bad guys with grandfathered "high cap" mags. Defense strategy, which generally worked, was to subpoenae someone from LE to testify under oath that the magazines were perfectly legal.

best,
Mas
