Gen4 G34 parts swapping with Gen3 G17 extractor
Can I swap out a LCI Non-Dip Extractor from a Gen3 G17 (production date is around 2007) with a Gen4 G34 with the dipped extractor? Do i need to switch any other parts? I'm thinking about trying to take this to the range tomorrow and test it out.
I ask b/c i have a gen3 g17 that runs great with everything. My G34 is running into issues (erratic ejection to the face) with the same ammo that the g17 runs fine with.

I took a non-dip extractor out of a 2008 Gen 3 G23 and put it in my 2011 Gen 4 G27 and I've had no hiccups with it at all.

good to hear, I'm hoping the same goes for the 9's. I would like to try this out today at around 10am. I'm going to probablys work on the parts swap here in about an hour.

You can swap the 9mm extractors, no other part swaps necessary. Btw, my 34 also needed the non-dipped to be 100%

well the older extractor did not fix my problem, so I am guessing this is not an extractor problem. I have all the updated parts. I may try going with a lighter aftermarket recoil spring.

Yep... sometimes the Gen4 9mms need a lighter recoil spring or hotter ammo. Good luck!

just ordered the jager gen4 guide rod and the 13 and 15lb ISMI springs. I'll let you all know how it goes. I normally would not do this for a glock, but since the 34 is meant to be a range gun only, i'm willing to tinker with it. Especially since this is already a replacement gun from glock.

The extractor has to match the spring loaded bearing.
LCI extractor must have LCI SLB, non LCI extractor uses the non LCI SLB.
