Check out my "happy Drum" (pic)
Pick up this Glock 9mm 50 round drum last week. Check out the attached photo. It looks very well built, well made. It goes quite well with my other 10 Glock "happy sticks"....you know what I am talking about.
I think I am all set for Glock Hi cap ban now (Just kidding...I hope not). I will run some test tomorrow and report to you how the drum does at the range. Please stay tune...

I hope so. If not, check out the new additional feature to my Glock drum. I hope this should make the libs go ballistic.

i guess i just dont get it. Do you guys get these for the cool factor. Are they super reliable or something? I had a gen3 33 round mag that I bought b/c i thought it was cool years ago. I sold it during the panic and couldnt be happier.

You are BOTH right AND wrong, and simultaneously. The "coolness" factor is inherent in such items, AND the periodic ban efforts make them reasonably prudent investments, as you saw with your "panic period" sale.

I got one because my 15 year old son wants one when he turns 21. I figured I better get one now and put it up for him because they might not be available when he's 21. I got the other one for my 9mm Kel Tec sub 2000. I plan on getting a couple more later if their still available.

I am very fortunate to be able to stockpile lots of 9mm, etc. over the years. I do alot of shooting over the years....so I am prepared. Buy most ammo from my local BIG gun shop.
So, HERE IS THE TEST REPORT ON THE 50 RDS. DRUM:
1. I shot a total of 150 rds. through the drum. The first test consist of loading all 50 rds. into the drum at once and shot all 50 rds. perfectly. I didn't expect the G17 slide to lock back on the last round. However, it was a pleasant surprise to find out that my G17FDE slide ACTUALLY sort-of "locked" back on the last round. It didn't truly lock back the way it should. But the slide was almost "fully opened", almost to the back. Nice.
2. So, then I wanted to see if the slide could again semi-"locking back" on the last round, for the next 4 tests....I loaded the drum up to 25 rds. each time. Again, every time.....the slide did "lock back". Hmm, I love this. Again, there was absolutely no malfunction of any kind. And there was no BRASS TO THE FACE issue with my G17 Gen4 FDE either with this drum. By the way, this Gen4 17 has never give me any BTF issue anyway.
3. The ammo used was CCI Blazer Brass and Federal Champion. All 115 gr. FMJ. Loading the ammo was Sooooooooo easy because the drum is designed with a built-in "loader" ratchet device....you simply rotate this lever about 45 degree and freely drop the ammo in!!!!! Way too easy on your thumb.
In summary: This product works PERFECTLY. Even try to lock back on the last round (when it was not supposed too). Very well built (over built to be exact), and very easy to load ammo.
I highly recommend this product.
The only NEGATIVE issue is that it is a bit on the heavy side because it is overdesigned for toughness. Like I said it is so well built and I think they could have made it a little lighter. Actually, if they would redesing and make it 35% lighter.....I would buy another drum.

I got one as well. They were designed by an American company and then outsourced to KCI (therefore made in Korea). They work well. You really need to slam them into the Sub2000 or they don't lock in. Otherwise, I've had no malfunctions with mine and my friend hasn't either.
