Just got back from range, off with the Lasermax

Just got back from the range. Went through 150 rounds with my G26. Everything went great except for the lasermax laser. I do not know why but I can never seem to hit the bullseye with a laser. I have had the CT on my G17 and the lasermax on my G26. Soon as I turned it off was right on target with my Glock factory night sights. It is odd to me . I just figured I would be better with the laser but I am not. I am worse. Just some food for thought.

Could it be your laser isn't sighted properly?

Yes no kidding I thought the OP's sights was fiber optic at first glance, I've never had a set of NS's that bright in that much light that the picture is taken.

The top pic has to be TFO's right?

Oh about lasers I've never really cared for them on my semi autos I like iron sites but on small snub noses I like them.

Looks like someone's making them for Glock.

Also looks like someone took the Meprolight ML10226 design and said "how we can make this simpler/cheaper to machine?"

That's because lasers suck. They may help you get on target a little faster, but they aren't going to make you shoot better. That is fundamentals, grip and trigger control.

A laser is a great training tool to teach trigger control. It will show when you dip or slap the trigger and also any flinch. You can do this with dry fire practice and when at the range.

And single action pistols are the only handguns for self defense because automatics can jam
I've had a lasermax on my G26 for years. I rarely use it at the range, except for teaching new shooters. I don't see a single situation where having the laser installed can be an issue. I can see plenty of scenarios where having it could be a benefit.

I agree. It can't hurt. It may help.

Like you, I don't use mine at the range.

How are the groups with the laser vs those with the irons?

I have a Crimson Trace on my G17 and could not be more happy with it. I have it sited in at 15 yards and it's spot on. Red dot is replaced with a hole when I pull the trigger.

I still acquire a proper sight picture through the iron sights, even with the laser on, to give me a better shot. The laser is then just cutting off a split second or two on target acquisition.

I have a guide rod lasermax that came with the G27 I bought used. My rounds hit about 3 inches lower than my point of aim but perfectly center, unfortunately they are not adjustable. The intent of a laser is to get on target as quickly as possible and I can do that all day long. For me the laser cost about $30 if you figure in the value of my gun and how much I paid for it, so 3" is not a big deal, but if I paid the $300 for a new laser then yes I would be bit unsatisfied and would send it back if that is an option.
