My IPSC Standard division pistol is a stock Para P16-40 and for Production Division I use the Para P18-9 LDA. I have no complaints.

An Idea
Eye Cutter, how many guns do you have? I think I've read you write about 6? 7? 8?
Maybe you can run a seminar someday : how Healthcare Professionals Can Use Guns for Relaxation and Self-Defense.
I'm serious. In 3 years the budget deficit and other economic problems of the Philippines will inevitably result in a significant reduction of public services, including the police (such as they are).
I will be in touch with you in a couple of years.

Eye Cutter, you're doing the right thing! Go to the States, make a bundle, buy all those Korths and Les Baers and .45acp Lugers. Then come back and set up a first-class gunrange behind your hospital.

Yes it's good as long as you change some of the parts. Most of the parts in my case, but the major parts (frame, slide, barrel) are still para and i haven't had any problems with them.

Kabayan, are you planning of getting the Limited or the regular one, familiar lang kasi ako sa regular. If you have the regular, the first thing to go is the mag release, plastic kasi yung stock. Actually, good to go na 'yon after that. If you want to have a trigger job (lighten the pull), i suggest you replace the hammer, sear and disconnector. Tapos replace na lang yung other parts when they break or when you get the urge. ;f
My family (father side) comes from Talisay and Agoncillo. Si Doctabako from Balayan.

Dre, personal opinion ko lang 'to and merely suggesting, so take it FWIW. If the unit you get runs out-of-the box, hintayin mo na lang mabiyak yung mga parts before replacing them. I've personally seem some brand new paras needing only minor touches and konti'ng polishing sa barrel/chamber areas and it ran fine. That way 'di ka masyado mapa-gastos ng malaki. Bala na lang bilhin mo instead.
Wag mo tularan yang iba dyan kinakalikot yung baril kahit wala namang problema. ;f;f

Thanks for the advice. I got the standard para p16 for 56K, brand new, sa isang gun store, pero one mag only. Batangeno, Doktbako, and Tigra, thanks for welcoming me. Actually bago pa lang ako pumuputok and my norinco government is still with the gun shop of the late jimmy febre, pinabihisan ko. Laspagin ko muna yung para p16 ko bago ko bihisan.

i have a p16-40 limited. the only thing that i change is the frontsight and the trigger, and also i have added the magwell. fired 20,000+ rounds already with it(all lead), wala pa naman akong nakikitang problem na lumalabas other than sa crack sa magwell na pinagawa ko. and ung ejector just broke pala lasy sunday - naputol, only because nabasagan ako nang shell dahil saguro sa old age nang mga shells ko.
over all, its a great gun.;Q
anyway, if u are going to buy one, i suggest magassemble ka nlang, it would be cheaper in the longrun and mapipili mo pa parts na ilalagay mo, rather than bibili ka nang buo and change those parts na ayaw mo.
jojo
nyak... nakabili ka na pala.. hehehe
im sure u will enjoy ur para....;z
