Gimp 2.2.3

Is GIMP 2.2.3 more stable with Windows XP? Currently, I'm using Windows 98. Soon I'll upgrade to XP.

Sometimes GIMP crashes with no warning.......;Q

I'll say it before you do: You get what you pay for!

Au contraire, my friend. That Open Source code you have there is 1000% better than the half-rumped OS you are running it on!

I've been using GIMP for years, in Linux and Win98/Win2K/NT and XP.

FWIW, I have only seen it crash in a shaky copy of Win98...

It runs perfectly in XP with either SP1a or SP2.

Hope you can upgrade soon, WERA!!

Thanks guys. I'll upgrade ASAP, but things are hectic right now. I'm in the process of buying a house, so the computer has to wait.

Thanks for the information.

I used to have lots of problems with it crashing in Linux. Whatever version came with Fedora 2 would just crash every 5 minutes or so. Whatever version came with Fedora 3 works flawlessly.

After updating to Gimp 2.2.4 go to Start>Accessories>System Tools>Scan Disk. This sorts out some things in Windows 98.
