I say that to people and they just shrug, then I punch them in the face.
No, I don't do that...but if I had a sudden uncontrollable reflex action resulting in a punch to their face...I wouldn't mind.

Nobama! That's great. Wish I had thought of that. I'll definitely order the bumper stickers. They're too funny to pass up.
I'm not crazy about McCain especially when I think about all the deals he's done with the libs. But, at least he's conservative on the terrorist issue.

I'm not hot on McCain either, but seeing as though everyone else that I would vote for in the race has quit, I don't see any other choice.

As a matter of fact I am American.
I also think it is a bit silly to fear a candidate because of his name or where his father was born.
Policies are a good reason to vote one way or another, but going just by name is like saying you wouldn't have supported Eisenhower in the WW2 era because he had German ancestry.

Same here. McCain was not my top choice but he is now my only choice unless I do a write in.

Agreed. Voting one way based on matters of substantive value is one thing. Voting one way based on a guy's name or heritage seems fairly rediculous. It's like the whole JFK Roman Catholic thing back then.

Obama doesn't scare me. His followers do. These demagogues only have any power because people listen to them and they believe. Hitler wasn't the problem, it was his followers--without them, he just would have been some unknown Austrian lunatic screaming his head off in an asylum somewhere, and of course no one would have paid attention.

If you are interested in voting with a clean conscience, you can check out Rep. Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party.
If on the other hand, you can't resist the urge to "back a winner" and thus have your vote "count", vote for the anti-gun wannabe-warmonger McCain.
Both McCain and Obama support more gun control. It is only a question of degree. Sooner or later, they will try to take our rights to the extent Obama desires.
The key is recognizing there is no stark difference between the two parties on ANY issue that matters: trade, war, immigration, etc. Then you can recognize this once every four year sham drama for what it is.

Has anyone heard about a lawyer and a law suit claiming the Obama was actually born in Kenya and the birth certificate from Hawaii he has is phoney? If that is true he would not be
able to be a US president.
