Glock pistols have had two different finish types - a matte phosphate and (insert coined term for current finish).

Note that "Tenifer" is NOT finish - it is a heat treatment known as carbonnitriding. Please refer to this.

The matte phosphate finish was used from the beginning of production to 2002 when the (insert coined term for current finish) transitioned in around the EUGxxxUS range.
