finally !!!!!!!
my foid card showed up today!!!!!!!
i sent it in last dec. according to the ISP they got it on jan. 3rd

Jan 3rd - April 16....that's whole lot more then 30 days...I called in yesterday, to check on my application and the officer who answered the phone was very helpfull and polite. Told me that they are working on it and I should have it by the end of the month. I applied a month ago...so maybe the are working overtime to try to process those applications faster. Can someone else share how long did it take for them to receive the FOID?

my wife's was about 2 weeks shorter than mine
my cousin is still waiting and he applied 2 days after i did.
they are nice when you call but man.....that is just too long to wait for a card.
GAT and gander mountain told us it would be at least 10-12 weeks
that is just wrong!!!!!

Very, very wrong. One thing positive about this wait...I have enough time to save money to get me a nice gun and **** loads of ammo the very first day when I get the FOID

Congrats on the new FOID!
I just got mine about 3 weeks ago after I applied for it back in early January.
1 week later, I bought a nice 3rd Gen G19 and 1 week later, I took her to the range and put about 100 rounds through her flawlessly...

You got the G19 a week after you got the FOID ? Why loosing precious time?

 Boy, are you ever in for a rude awakening. ****loads of ammo? You'd best be buying a .22 rimfire or maybe a shotgun. Barry Obama is turning out to be the best firearms and ammunition salesman the world has ever seen.

Dont' say it twice. Mine took March 15th - April 24th. I wasn't expecting it so early, but I guess ISP did some overtime work this month

No. I didn't have time to check the local stores. I had to do some work on my car....broken oil pan , but I'm already making the shopping list.
